yogurt cake

after taking some time to explore new ingredients & thinking of ways to integrate them into new recipes, I’ve made my return to the kitchen. I decided to start the change of the season with a classic recipe of my mom‘s & a personal favorite: yogurt cake.


Recipe


ingredients:

3 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup melted butter

1 cup plain yogurt

1 vanilla pod

2 1/3 cups flour

1 ts baking powder

1 tbsp powdered sugar


procedure:

  1. in a big bowl whisk sugar & eggs together

  2. add melted butter, yogurt, & vanilla pod seeds to the sugar & eggs

  3. stir in flour gently by hand until everything is well combined

  4. spread dough onto a baking tray & even it out

  5. bake in the oven at 200 C / 400 F for 25-30 minutes

  6. take cake out of the oven & let it cool for 30 minutes

  7. cut cake into small rectangular pieces & sprinkle them with powdered sugar

  8. iss / mange / enjoy!


optional: serve with berry compot & vanilla ice cream
