strawberry swiss roll

a light and summery dessert which pleasures all your strawberry and cake craivings.

Recipe


ingredients:

4 eggs, separate egg whites

1 cup sugar

2 tbsp water

a pinch of salt

2/3 cup flour

6-7 tbsp strawberry jam


procedure:

1. separate the egg yolks from the egg whites & pour respectively into separate bowls

2. add the cup of sugar to the egg yolks as well as a pinch of salt & water

3. beat the egg whites until firm

4. beat the egg yolks & the sugar until you achieve a creamy bright consictency

5. add the egg whites & the flour to the sugar & egg yolk mixture

6. stir until combined

7. pour mixture on a baking sheet & spread evenly

8. bake for 8 minutes at 220 C / 430 F

9. place the baked biscuit onto a clean towel & let it cool for 30 minutes

10. spread 2 layers of strawberry jam onto the biscuit evenly & roll up

11. sprinkle the top with powdered sugar to finish off

12. iss / mange / enjoy!
