onion gravy

A creamy smooth sauce that goes perfectly to a pair of bratwurst.


Recipe


ingredients:

2 onions

1 tbsp flour

1 cup vegetable stock

a splash of soy sauce

pinch of salt and pepper

1/4 cup heavy cream


procedure:

  1. sweat the onions on a high heat with a splash of olive oil in a frying pan. season with salt and pepper to draw out the moisture

  2. add the flour and vegetable stock

  3. reduce heat to medium flame and let it simmer for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens

  4. add heavy cream and stir until all combined

  5. add the grilled bratwurst into the gravy

  6. iss / mange / enjoy!
