Cinnamon rolls 🥥🥮

cinnamon rolls are my all time craving when I’m in nyc. since I miss my girlfriend so much & so many other things about the city including a few sweet treats, I decided to make cinnamon rolls myself with a little twist by adding coconut sugar instead of just the usual brown sugar.


Recipe


ingredients:


dough

3 1/4 cups flour

1/3 cup sugar

1 ts salt

1/2 oz yeast

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

1 egg


filling

1/3 cup soft butter

2 tbsp cinnamon

1/3 cup brown coconut sugar


icing

1 cup icing sugar

2 1/2 tbsp milk

1/2 tbsp vanilla extract


procedure:

  1. in a large bowl mix & knead together all ingredients for the dough until everything is well combined & smooth

  2. cover bowl with a wet towel & let the dough rise for 1-2 hours

  3. in the meantime prepare the cinnamonn filling by mixing together the soft butter, cinnamon, & coconut sugar

  4. roll out dough on a well floured surface into a rectangular shape

  5. spread filling evenly onto the dough

  6. roll up the dough tightly & cut into 5 cm / 2 inch thick pieces

  7. place pieces in a baking pan & cover again with a wet towel for 30 minutes

  8. preheat oven to 200 C / 375 F

  9. bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes

  10. whilst the rolls are baking in the oven prepare the icing

  11. mix together icing sugar, milk, & vanilla extract

  12. once the cinnamon rolls come out of the oven, glaze everything with the icing & let cool for 15 minutes

  13. iss / mange / enjoy!
