cherry season calls for cherry tart. 🍒

Recipe


ingredients:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup butter, cut into 2 cm / 1 inch cubes

1 tbsp sugar

1 egg

1 tbsp water

1 cup deseaded cherries

1/2 cup crème fraiche

2 tbsp sugar

1 egg

juice of half a lemon

8 pistachios

1 ts powdered sugar


procedure:

  1. place flour & butter into a big bowl & use fingers to crumble in the butter until there are no big lumps of butter left

  2. add egg, sugar, & water together. knead until dough is smooth

  3. wrap dough in plastic wrap & chill at least for 30 minutes in the fridge

  4. roll out dough on a lightly floured surface until 5 mm / 0.2 inch thick & lay into tart pan

  5. preheat ove to 180°C / 360°F

  6. place deseaded cherries onto the dough in tart pa

  7. mix together crème fraiche, sugar, egg, & the juice of half of a lemon in a bowl until well combined

  8. pour filling over cherries into the tart pan

  9. bake tart for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown

  10. place pistachios on crust of the tart & sprinkle tart with powdered sugar

  11. iss / mange / enjoy!
